Dhaka: The government has taken a significant step by deploying 293 mobile courts across 62 districts to oversee the fuel supply situation throughout the nation. This initiative aims to ensure a stable fuel distribution and address any irregularities that may arise.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, during these operations, the mobile courts filed 78 cases and imposed fines totaling Tk 315,550. The Energy and Mineral Resources Division has emphasized that this drive will continue to ensure that the fuel supply remains stable and free from anomalies in distribution and sales.
Furthermore, executive magistrates from the Energy Division are actively conducting these mobile court operations daily at various strategic locations throughout Dhaka city. This effort is part of a broader initiative to maintain oversight and compliance with fuel distribution norms.
The drive is set to continue tomorrow within the capital and its surrounding areas. Authorities have also called on the public to report any susp
ected irregularities by reaching out to the vigilance team via designated phone numbers, thereby fostering community involvement in maintaining a fair and transparent fuel supply system.
