Dhaka: The government today appointed Professor Dr Khan Moinuddin Al Mahmud Sohel as the Director General (DG) of the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE) on a current charge basis as an interim measure.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Sohel, a BCS 16th batch officer cadre (general education), will undertake the responsibilities of the DSHE DG while continuing his role as a DSHE director.
The official statement clarified that this appointment will not be regarded as a promotion and will not qualify him for any future promotion.
It further stated that the current charge will be revoked once a permanent appointment to the position is made.
