Dhaka: The government has appointed an administrator to the Bangladesh Chemists and Druggists Samity.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, an office order from the Ministry of Commerce has named Mahmudul Hasan, Director (Joint Secretary) of the Export Promotion Bureau, as the Administrator of the Bangladesh Chemists and Druggists Samity. This appointment comes under Section 17 of the Trade Organizations Act, 2022.
The newly appointed administrator has been tasked with conducting a free, fair, and neutral election within 120 days. Following the election, Mahmudul Hasan is expected to hand over responsibilities to the duly elected committee, ensuring a smooth transition of leadership.
The Ministry of Commerce will be notified once the transfer of charge is complete, as stated in the order.
