Dhaka: The government has designated 102 executive magistrates to oversee security for the upcoming preliminary exams of the Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) scheduled for January 30. This measure aims to ensure smooth conduct and law and order during the examination process.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the preliminary examination for the 50th BCS, which will consist of multiple-choice questions (MCQs), is set to take place from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at 92 educational institutions across the capital. The selection process for BCS involves MCQ type exams, written tests, and viva voce, leading to the recruitment of candidates for magistrates and other cadre officers.
The statement from the public administration ministry highlighted that one executive magistrate will be assigned to each examination center to uphold law and order. Additionally, ten magistrates will be stationed at the Public Service Commission's (PSC) control room, equipped with magistracy powers under the Criminal Procedure Code, 1898 (CrPC), to manage any arising issues efficiently.
