Dhaka: The Ministry of Youth and Sports has announced the National Youth Entrepreneurship Development Policy-2025, aiming to transform unemployed youth into entrepreneurs.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the notification, signed by Youth and Sports Secretary Md. Mahbub-ul-Alam, outlines the provision of loan facilities of up to Taka 10 lakh. The policy also includes export-related support such as tax and duty exemptions, in a bid to foster a conducive environment for youth entrepreneurship.
The policy has been crafted with several priorities in mind, including the creation of self-employment opportunities, the encouragement of technology-based entrepreneurship, and the development of necessary infrastructure to support young innovators.
The ministry is set to implement the policy with a particular emphasis on generating new employment opportunities, promoting start-ups, and ensuring the economic inclusion of the country’s youth population.
