Dhaka: The government has announced an expenditure target of Tk 7.90 lakh crore for the fiscal year 2025-26, marking a Tk 7,000 crore decrease from the current fiscal year’s budget.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Youth and Sports Adviser Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuiyan disclosed this information via a post on his verified Facebook account. He emphasized that the interim government plans to implement a more restrained budget compared to previous years. This move is aimed at restoring macroeconomic stability and controlling inflation.
Finance Adviser Dr. Salehuddin Ahmed is scheduled to formally present the national budget for FY 2025-26 to the nation tomorrow.
