Dhaka: The government has officially issued the gazette of the ‘President, Prime Minister or Chief Adviser and Very Important Persons Security Rules 2025’, aimed at ensuring the security of the President, Prime Minister, Chief Adviser, and other very important persons (VVIPs). The Chief Adviser’s Office (CAO) released the gazette, which was signed by Secretary M Saifullah Panna, following the President’s order.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the newly established rules will take effect immediately. The framework aims to modernize and organize the security management for the nation’s highest-ranking officials. This legal structure outlines the responsibilities, structure, and duties of the relevant forces and organizations involved in safeguarding the President, Prime Minister, Chief Adviser, and other VVIPs during their movements, at their residences, workplaces, event venues, and on visits.

The rules have been developed in light of recent security challenges and realities. The objective is to enhance the effectiveness and strength of the law and order system while ensuring the security of key state figures. Relevant sources indicated that a notification offering necessary explanations and detailed instructions will be published separately at a later date.
