Government Orders Special Release of Four Prisoners for Eid

Dhaka: The government has announced the release of four prisoners from various jails across the country as part of Eid-ul-Azha celebrations. This decision comes after their sentences were officially remitted, allowing them to return home to their families during the festive period.

According to United News of Bangladesh, the prisoners who will benefit from this decision include Naim Sikdar from Faridpur District Jail, Md Islam Sheikh from Khulna District Jail, Palash Barua from Rangamati District Jail, and Abdul Malek from Chuadanga District Jail. These individuals have been serving sentences for various offenses and were chosen for special release in light of the holiday.

Assistant Inspector General (Prisons) MD Jannat-Ul-Farhad confirmed the forthcoming release, indicating that the necessary procedures are underway to ensure these individuals are freed shortly. The government's decision is part of a broader initiative to show compassion and provide relief to selected prisoners during significant cultural and religious occasions.
