Dhaka: The government has brought private cars under the 'Fuel Pass' facility across the country, aiming to ensure transparency and accountability in the fuel distribution process.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources has announced that the 'Fuel Pass' facility will now be available for private cars via the fuel pass app. This expansion of the fuel pass system includes motorcycles and, significantly, now private cars as well.

The ministry's statement highlighted that private cars have been incorporated into the fuel pass registration system. Initially, cars belonging to the 'Ka', 'Kha', and 'Ga' series are eligible for registration under the fuel pass. The announcement also mentioned that private cars from other series will be included in the registration process in successive phases.

All filling stations in the capital are set to supply fuel to private cars registered under the fuel pass system, marking a significant step in enhancing the fuel distribution network's efficiency and transparency.
