Gazipur: The government has distributed bull calves, heifers, and food to 102 individuals from small ethnic groups in an effort to enhance the socio-economic and living conditions of communities residing in the plain lands of Kaliakoir upazila.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the Upazila Livestock Department organized a distribution event at the Janata High School ground in Fulbaria Union. This initiative is part of the Integrated Livestock Development Project, aiming to uplift the socio-economic status of these groups through livestock support.
The event, presided over by Upazila Water Resources Officer Dr. Mohammad Mizanur Rahman, was attended by key officials including Upazila Agriculture Officer Md. Saiful Islam, Upazila Assistant Livestock Officers Shahjahan Ali and Mansur Ahmed, and Project Facilitator Uttam Kumar, among others.
Dr. Mizanur Rahman stated that a list of 1,419 individuals has been compiled in Kaliakoir upazila, assuring that all registered people will receive assistance in phases.
