Government Directs Action Against Corrupt Employees

Dhaka: The government has instructed relevant departments to take action against officers and employees involved in corruption. This directive aims to address and mitigate corrupt practices within various governmental sectors.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the actions against corrupt officials and employees will be based on intelligence reports. A letter from the Ministry of Public Administration, issued on March 20, outlines these instructions. This move follows a decision made during the second meeting of the Public Administration Committee.



The committee responsible for overseeing this directive is headed by Finance Adviser Dr. Salehuddin Ahmed. The Ministry of Public Administration has reiterated the importance of this directive, emphasizing its alignment with recent committee decisions. Deputy Secretary Jamila Shabnam officially signed the issued letter, marking a significant step in the fight against corruption within government departments.
