Gopalganj: Local administration today announced to keep Gopalganj under curfew until 6am tomorrow to maintain the law and order. District Magistrate of Gopalganj Muhammad Kamruzzaman imposed the curfew from 6pm today to 6am tomorrow in the entire Gopalganj in order to maintain public order, peace and security of life and property of the people.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, a public order issued today stated that emergency services such as ambulances, fire services, electricity supply companies, and media personnel with curfew passes will be exempted from the restriction. The curfew was enacted in response to the circumstances arising from the roadside meeting of the National Citizen Party (NCP) in Gopalganj district on July 16.
