Dhaka: Bangladesh Jewellers Association On Wednesday, the Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS) announced a reduction in gold prices in the domestic market, decreasing the rate by Tk 2,158 per bhori. The new rate for 22-carat gold is set at Tk 2,35,963 per bhori, effective from 10 am.
According to United News of Bangladesh, BAJUS issued a morning circular stating that the revised prices reflect a decline in the cost of tejabi (pure) gold in the local market. As part of the new pricing structure, 21-carat gold will be sold at Tk 2,25,232 per bhori, 18-carat gold at Tk 1,93,039 per bhori, and traditional-method gold at Tk 1,57,231 per bhori.
The previous adjustment by BAJUS occurred on May 16, when prices were reduced by Tk 4,374 per bhori, setting the price of 22-carat gold at Tk 2,38,121. Throughout 2026, gold prices have been adjusted 66 times in the domestic market, with 35 increases and 31 decreases.
Meanwhile, the prices of silver remain unchanged. The current price for 22-carat silver stands at Tk 5,657 per bhori, 21-carat at Tk 5,365, 18-carat at Tk 4,607, and traditional-method silver at Tk 3,441 per bhori. Silver prices have been adjusted 39 times this year, with 21 increases and 18 decreases.
