Verifying digital birth registration
The first thing to keep in mind is whether the certificate is online. It means whether the person’s birth certificate is included in the online database of the Bangladesh government. If not, first of all, the applicant has to enlist the birth certificate online.

How to get English Version of birth certificate in Bangladesh
Necessary documents
As the application has to be done online, soft copies of all the documents will be required. Therefore, the following documents should be scanned in advance, so that they can be easily uploaded during the online application.
? Minimum SSC or equivalent examination certificate
? Online registered birth certificate of parents
? If the NID(national identity card) of the applicant has already been issued, it should be provided

Online registration process
While completing this task, every piece of information must be provided carefully. The application for correction of birth registration can not be done more than 4 times.
The first step to starting the application process is to access the Birth and Death Registration website Bangladesh. Here the 17-digit birth registration number and the date of birth of the applicant should be given. Then clicking on the search button will show the person’s birth certificate.

At that time, the applicant needs to click on the subject and select only the English options separately and provide information in English. An additional information button is there for multiple subjects. The reason for correction should be checked as wrongly recorded. Then below the person’s current and permanent place of birth address should be given in English.
If the applicant applies for him or herself, the Self option needs to be chosen. Parents need to go for the Parents option to apply for their child. Then the phone number of the applicant should be given. If the guardian is someone other than the parents, like grandparents, they will have to provide their NID card or birth registration number.

Finally, by leaving the fee collection option unchanged and clicking on the submit button, the application will be completed. If the application is successful, a code will be provided, which should be saved for later use. Now the applicant needs to print the application and keep the hard copy for later use.
Application fees
A fee of BDT.100 has to be given while submitting the necessary documents including the application for birth registration. In addition, printing, photocopying, and other office work may cost some expenses.
Where to submit the application form
The printed application along with the photocopies of the attached documents should be submitted to the local City Corporation/Union/Municipal office. Now the concerned officer will verify the application and correct the information and prepare the entire birth certificate in the English version.

A token will be issued from the office stating the date of collection of the certificate. On the date, the applicant will finally get the birth certificate in English in hand.
