Member of the National Standing Committee of

BNP Gayeshwar Chandra Roy today asked the part men to remain alert against

the invisible conspirators, saying BNP must face them at any cost.

BNP men had faced Sheikh Hasina’s fascist government in last 16 years,

Gayeshwar said, adding that BNP will give time and support to the interim

government for necessary reforms and changes.

The BNP leader made the remarks while speaking as the chief guest at a Khulna

divisional grand rally organised by the BNP, Khulna division, at Shibbari

intersection on KDA Avenue in the city marking the ‘World Democracy Day’.

Gayeswar said in the last 16 years, the Awami League government destroyed all

democratic institutions of the country. Conspiracies are also being hatched

to thwart the victory of the student-people mass uprising spirit, he added.

He also called upon the interim government to withdraw all false cases filed

against BNP men and provide compensation to the families who embraced

martyrdom and received wounds
in the recent Anti-discrimination Student

Movement.

“Those who opposed the movement and supported the immediate past autocratic

government of Sheikh Hasina, we still see them in the administration. They

have not been removed. We demand they must be removed immediately,” the

senior leader said.

Chaired by the convener of city unit BNP convening committee advocate

Shafiqul Islam Mona, Sayed Mehedi Ahmed Rumi, adviser of the BNP Chairperson

Begum Khaleda Zia, Rakibul Islam Rakib, student affairs secretary of central

BNP, Azizul Bari Helal, information affairs secretary of central BNP, Habibul

Islam Habib, central publication secretary of BNP, Anindya Islam Amit, acting

organizing secretary of BNP of Khulna division and convener of the district
