Savar: Gas supply will remain suspended for 24 hours in several areas of Savar, Ashulia, Gazipur, and Manikganj starting from Friday morning due to tie-in work related to the relocation of an existing gas pipeline under the Dhaka-Ashulia Elevated Expressway project.
According to United News of Bangladesh, Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company Limited announced that the supply suspension will continue until 8 am on Saturday. This suspension will affect all categories of gas consumers in areas stretching from Ashulia Bazar to Baipayl on both sides of the road, including Dhaka EPZ, Malancha Power Plant, Beximco DRS (Beximco Industrial Complex), Kashimpur, Sardaganj, Haji Market, Sreepur, Chandra, and Chandra intersection.
Additionally, areas such as Nabinagar, Savar Town, Savar Cantonment, Ulail, Bank Town, Savar Radio Colony, Kalma, Dosaid, Kumkumari, Akran, Charabag, Bara Ashulia, Tongabari, Kathgara, Zirabo, Gazirchat, Nayapara, and Dewan Idris Road and adjacent regions will experience the suspension.
In Manikganj, the gas supply will also be halted in Nayarhat, Balibhadrapur, Palli Bidyut, Denderbar, Bhadaile, Latifpur, and surrounding areas.
Titas Gas has indicated that gas pressure might remain low in the surrounding areas during the suspension period. The gas distribution company expressed regret for the temporary inconvenience caused to consumers.
