The throat-slit body of a garment worker was recovered from her house at Bymile of Konabari area in Gazipur city on Sunday morning.
The body of Aliach Liza, wife of Masud Rana and hailed from Gopalganj thana of Tangail, was sent to Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmed Medical College Hospital morgue.
Masud used to fight with Liza over family issues and he attacked her with a sharp knife at one stage of altercation on Saturday night, said Officer-in-Charge of Konabari police station M Ashrafuddin.
Locals found her lying in a pool of blood and informed police.
Masud went into hiding after incident, he said.
PIB and CID members recovered a knife from the spot.
