Khulna: The members of Rapid Action Battalion-6 (RAB-6) in a drive last night arrested a fugitive listed terrorist from Rupsha upazila in the district. The terrorist was identified as Md Sagar Sheikh, son of Fayek Sheikh, resident of Kalabagan Railgate Paschimpara road of Dumuria upazila.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, a press release issued by RAB-6 stated that a team from the RAB Jashore Camp conducted operations around 11:05 pm yesterday in the Jabusha area of Rupsha upazila and successfully arrested the fugitive criminal Sagar.
The arrested Sagar is an accused in 19 cases, including murder and robbery. Of these cases, he is a warrant accused in 9 cases and has been a fugitive for a long time. The arrested person was handed over to the Jashore Kotwali police station, said the press release.
