Chattogram: Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has successfully apprehended Md. Nur Hossain Saddam, a 26-year-old fugitive facing charges in 16 cases across multiple police stations in the Chattogram and Feni districts. Saddam, the son of Nur Mohammad alias Nur Ahmed, hails from the West Chanua area of Feni Sadar upazila.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the arrest followed a raid by a team from RAB-7 in the city's Doublemooring area on Sunday night. The operation was conducted based on specific information received by the elite force, as mentioned in a press release issued by RAB.
The cases against Saddam involve charges of robbery, theft, and drug peddling. These cases have been filed in various police stations, including Pahartali, Halishahar, and Doublemooring in Chattogram, as well as Feni Sadar, Fulgazi thana in Feni district, and Chauddagram police station in Cumilla.
Following an initial interrogation, Saddam was transferred to Feni Sadar Model Police Station to proceed with legal actions, as detailed in the press release.
