Dhaka: The government has decided to keep fuel prices unchanged at the consumer level for the month of May.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, an official order issued today by the Department of Energy and Mineral Resources confirms that the existing prices, which were set earlier on April 18, will continue to be in effect.

As per a directive sent to the Chairman of the Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation, the current per-litre prices will remain the same: diesel at Tk 115, octane at Tk 140, petrol at Tk 135, and kerosene at Tk 130.

The order further states that, with approval from the appropriate authorities, these rates will remain unchanged throughout May, ensuring the existing pricing structure will continue to be effective from May 1.
