Dhaka: The government has announced that fuel oil prices will remain unchanged for the month of April, extending the current rates for a second consecutive month. This decision means that petrol, octane, diesel, and kerosene will continue to be sold at their existing prices.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, this information was revealed in an official order issued by the Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources. The order stated that the prices have been reviewed and adjusted in accordance with the revised automatic fuel pricing guidelines set by the competent authority at the consumer level.

As per the existing rates, the consumer-level price of diesel for April is set at Taka 100 per liter, kerosene at Taka 112 per liter, petrol at Taka 116 per liter, and octane at Taka 120 per liter. These prices have been consistent since February and March.

The decision to maintain these rates will be effective starting tomorrow, April 1.
