Jhenaidah: A daylong free medical camp was held today at Jamuna Sikder College ground in Abaipur under Shailkupa upazila of the district. Ad-Din Medical College Hospital organized the medical camp, providing care and treatment to 1,000 underprivileged patients from the upazila. The patients also received free necessary medicines.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Attorney General Md. Asaduzzaman inaugurated the medical camp at 8:30 am as the chief guest, with Jamuna Sikder College Principal Md. Fazlur Rahman presiding over the event. The camp aimed to offer much-needed medical services to the poor residents of the area.
Ad-Din Foundation Executive Director Dr. Sheikh Mohiuddin and Shailkupa Upazila BNP General Secretary Advocate Humayun Babar Firoz were present as special guests. Their presence underscored the importance of community support and collaboration in offering healthcare access to those in need.
Also in attendance were Abaipur Jamuna Sikder College President Roknuzzaman Riaz and Ad-Din Eye Project Assistant General Manager Md. Rabiul Islam, among others. Their involvement highlights the collective effort to address healthcare challenges in rural regions.
