Kalmakanda: A day-long free eye camp was held on the premises of Kalmakanda Government Pilot High School in Kalmakanda upazila of the district today. BNP Law Affairs Secretary and Secretary General of Jatiyatabadi Ainjibi Forum Barrister Kaisar Kamal, in collaboration with DR. K Jaman BNSB Eye Hospital, Mymensingh, spearheaded the event aimed at offering essential eye care services to the local residents. According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Barrister Kaisar Kamal stated that the eye camp was organized under the directives of the Acting Chairman of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Tarique Rahman. The initiative specifically targeted the poverty-stricken rural populace, ensuring they received necessary eye care. A dedicated team of 30 eye specialists from BNSB Eye Hospital was on site to provide comprehensive services, including eye treatment, distribution of medicines, and spectacles. The camp successfully catered to 4,000 patients, addressing a significant need for accessible eye care in the area.
