Dhaka: The Ministry of Home Affairs has announced the transfer of four Superintendents of Police (SPs) to new stations, marking a reshuffle in the police department.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, a notification signed by Deputy Secretary (police wing) of the ministry, Tausif Ahmed, detailed the reassignments. Currently serving as SP of Habiganj, Mosammat Yasmin Khatun has been posted to the Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) as its SP. Meanwhile, Md Tarek Mahmud, presently the Deputy Commissioner (DC) of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), has been transferred to Habiganj to serve as its SP.
In another move, the current SP of Chuadanga, Md Monirul Islam, has been transferred to the Special Branch (SB) as its Special Superintendent (SS). Furthermore, Mohammad Ruhul Kabir Khan, who is currently SP of the PBI Chattogram zone, has been posted to Chuadanga as its SP.
The ministry has instructed the transferred officers to assume their new roles at the earliest opportunity.
