Dhaka: Four players shared the lead in the points table with a maximum of four points after the fourth round of the Manha’s Castle 28th International Chess tournament held at the Bangladesh Chess Federation hall room. They are FIDE Master Syed Mahfuzur Rahman, Ananta Choudhury, FIDE Master Md. Sharif Hossain, Candidate Master Md. Jamal Uddin, and Awsaf Chowdhury.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, three players shared the second position with 3.5 points. They are Afnan Zarif Haque, Candidate Master Avik Sarkar, and Anat Chowdhury. In the day’s fourth-round matches, FM Md. Sharif Hossain defeated FM Sakline Mostafa Sajid, CM Md. Jamal Uddin defeated FM Subrota Biswas, and FM Syed Mahfuzur Rahman defeated Muhtady Tajwar Nasheed. Ananta Choudhury overcame CM Avik Sarker, Awsaf Chowdhury defeated CM Md. Masum Hossain, and Afnan Zarif Haque defeated Afzal Hossain Sacchu. Radmim Raha Rajya drew with CM Sohel Chowdhury, Md. Biddut Sarker drew with WFM Warsia Khusbu, and CM S M Sharon defeated Md. Anisujjaman Mullick.
