Dhaka: Four people suffered burn injuries in a fire apparently from an electrical short circuit at Eastern Plus Shopping Complex in the capital’s Shantinagar area late Tuesday night.
According to United News of Bangladesh, the injured were identified as Sohrab, 20, Shamim, 18, Sujit Das, 28, and Monayem Hossain, 33. They were rushed to the emergency department of the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery shortly after the incident.
Resident surgeon Dr. Shaon Bin Rahman stated that all four victims suffered inhalation injury. He mentioned that two of them were admitted to the hospital while the remaining two were kept under observation at the emergency unit.
