Dhaka: Four children have died from suspected measles symptoms in the last 24 hours up to 8 a.m. today, raising the death toll from suspected measles cases to 235 since March 15.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the Directorate General of Health Services reported that the number of suspected measles patients in the country reached 1,024 in the past 24 hours. During the same period, 72 confirmed measles patients were admitted to hospitals.
Since the outbreak began, a total of 26,911 suspected measles patients have been admitted to hospitals. Of these, 23,225 have recovered and have been discharged, offering a glimmer of hope amid the ongoing health challenge.
