Dinajpur: Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-13 in two separate drives seized a large quantity of smuggled drugs and arrested four alleged drug dealers from different places in the Dinajpur and Gaibandha districts in the last 12 hours till noon today. The seized drugs included 16 kg of ganja, five bottles of phensedyl-like Fairdyl syrup, and two bottles of phensedyl-like ESKuf syrup, as stated in a press release this afternoon.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, on a tip-off, a team of the RAB-13 Dinajpur Camp searched a microbus, seized 16 kg of ganja, and arrested three individuals from the Shershah Battali area under Kotwali Police Station in Dinajpur at 12:20 am today. The arrested individuals are Parvez Sheikh, 29, of Nishchintapur Fakir Para village under Kotwali Police Station; Amir Hossain, 35, of Kandipara village under Bhairab Police Station in Kishoreganj; and the microbus driver Jalu Mia, 45, of Pahar Barshijora village under Sadar Police Station in Moulvibazar district.
In another raid, a RAB-13 team from Gaibandha Camp seized five bottles of Fairdyl syrup and two bottles of ESKuf syrup and arrested one person from the Namapara area under Gobindaganj Police Station in Gaibandha district at 11:55 pm on Thursday. The arrested individual was identified as Md Laiju Mia, 26, of Abirampur village under Gobindaganj Police Station in Gaibandha district.
After filing two separate cases related to these incidents, the elite force handed over the arrested individuals and the seized drugs to the respective police stations for further legal action.
