According to United News of Bangladesh, the suspects are identified as Md Mozammel Haque, 32, from Chamta village in Charghat upazila; Md Sohan Rahman, 23, from Gondogohali Jamtala village in Puthia; Md Rubel Ahmed, 38, from Baraipara village in Puthia; and Md Shahadat Hossain, 52, from Tarapur village.

The Rajshahi District Detective Branch (DB) conducted a raid on Tarapur village in Puthia during the early hours of Thursday, where they recovered the stolen items. The recovered belongings include an iPhone 15 Pro Max, US$300, a massage bed, luggage, four plastic boxes, Tk 8,000 in cash, tools allegedly used for breaking locks, and a motorcycle.

Police reported that the covered van carrying the cricket team's belongings departed from Dhaka for Rajshahi on October 13. Before resuming the journey, the driver checked the vehicle's lock at the Harishpur Bypass intersection in Natore. Around 505 am on October 14, as the van reached Tarapur intersection in Puthia, several individuals on a motorcycle allegedly broke the lock on the rear door and stole luggage and other items from the moving vehicle.

A driver traveling behind the van alerted its driver to the theft. Upon stopping, the driver found the rear door open and its lock broken. After notifying the vehicle's owner, the driver continued to Rajshahi. When the team's belongings were unloaded at a hotel in Rajshahi city, eight out of 54 pieces of luggage were missing.

A general diary (GD) was filed at Rajpara Police Station on October 14 following the incident. Acting on this complaint, district DB police launched an investigation, leading to the arrests and recovery of the stolen items.
