Khagrachari: The foundation stone of the Khagrachari Golf House, Chengi Golf and Country Club, has been laid, marking a significant development in the region’s recreational infrastructure. Brigadier General Sharif Md Aman, the Commander of the Khagrachhari Army Region, presided over the ceremony, which took place on Friday.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Brigadier General Aman also took the opportunity to inaugurate the second Titas President Cup Golf Tournament during the event. The ceremony was attended by several notable figures, including Khagrachari Sadar Zone Commander Colonel Khademul Islam and Khagrachari Region Staff Officer Major Kazi Mostafa Arefin. A mix of military and civilian officials were also present to witness this important occasion.
The establishment of the Chengi Golf and Country Club is anticipated to boost the local community by providing a new recreational venue and potentially attracting visitors to the area. The golf club is expected to serve as a hub for both amateur and professional golfers, enhancing the sporting landscape of Khagrachari.
