Dhaka: The fortnight-long Siratunnabi (PBUH) programme, organized by the Islamic Foundation on the occasion of the holy Eid-e-Miladunnabi, concluded in a colorful and solemn manner this evening. The closing ceremony took place at the east side of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque, with Islamic Foundation Director General A.S. Salam Khan serving as the chief guest.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the event began with a welcome speech by Md. Mohiuddin, Director of the Coordination Department of the Islamic Foundation. Dr. Mohammad Harunur Rashid, Director of the Religious Invitation and Culture Department, presided over the ceremony, while Senior Pesh Imam Mufti Maulana Mizanur Rahman delivered the keynote address. Speakers at the event emphasized the importance of following the life, character, and teachings of the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH).
The Siratunnabi (PBUH) programme, which commenced on September 5, featured a variety of activities, including sermons, Milad and Doa Mahfils, seminars, cultural competitions, Qirat and Hamd-Na’t Mahfils, Islamic calligraphy exhibitions, and special publications. Similar events were organized in all divisional and district offices of the Islamic Foundation, as well as in 54 Islamic missions and eight Imam Training Academies across the country.
