Fortis FC Secures Fourth Win in Bangladesh Premier League with 2-0 Victory Over Brothers Union

Munshiganj: Fortis Football Club recorded their fourth win in the Bashundhara Group Bangladesh Premier League football by defeating Brothers Union Club 2-0 at Shaheed Brishreshtha Flight Matiur Rahman Stadium in Munshiganj on Saturday.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, defender Kamacai Marma Aky and Gambian forward Pa Omar Babou each scored a goal for Fortis, leading the team to a 1-0 advantage by the end of the first half. The match saw Aky breaking the deadlock with a goal in the 45th minute, followed by Babou’s goal in the 60th minute, securing the victory for Fortis FC.



Despite Brothers Union Club’s efforts to retaliate, they were unable to score during the match’s remaining proceedings. This win propelled Fortis FC to fifth position in the league standings with 17 points from 11 matches. Meanwhile, Brothers Union Club, also having played 11 matches, stands at seventh position with 15 points.



In the first leg of the season, the two teams had played to a 1-1 draw at the Bashundhara Kings arena in the capital, sharing the points. Fortis FC’s recent victory marks a significant improvement in their league performance.
