Dhaka:Jatiya Sangsad Speaker Hafiz Uddin Ahmad, Bir Bikrom, has expressed deep shock and sorrow over the death of former lawmaker and BNP Commerce Affairs Secretary Salah Uddin Ahmed.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Speaker Hafiz Uddin Ahmad issued a condolence message this evening, praying for the eternal peace of the departed soul and extending his heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved family.
Deputy Speaker Barrister Kayser Kamal and Chief Whip Md. Nurul Islam Moni also expressed profound shock and sorrow at the passing of Salah Uddin Ahmed, as noted in a press release from the Parliament Secretariat.
The Namaj-e-Janaza for Salah Uddin Ahmed is scheduled to be held tomorrow at 1100 am at the South Plaza of the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban. He passed away at approximately 810 pm today while receiving treatment at Evercare Hospital in the capital.
