Dhaka: Bangladesh’s foreign exchange reserves have reached US$ 32.12 billion.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the latest data released by the Bangladesh Bank (BB) today indicates a discrepancy when calculated using the International Monetary Fund (IMF) methodology.
Under the Balance of Payments and International Investment Position Manual (BPM6) methodology of the IMF, the reserves are reported at a lower figure of $27.45 billion. This difference highlights variations in calculation methods used by different financial institutions.
