Dhaka: Foreign Affairs Adviser Md Touhid Hossain today left here for Turkey to attend the Antalya Diplomacy Forum (ADF).
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the ADF 2025 is scheduled to take place on April 11-13 in Antalya, under the patronage of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and hosted by the Turkish Foreign Ministry. The theme for this year's event, "Reclaiming Diplomacy in a Fragmented World," highlights the urgent need for diplomacy to reestablish itself as a stabilizing force amid rising global divisions.
The ADF will bring together global leaders, policymakers, academics, business experts, and representatives from the media and civil society. The objective is to explore the potential of diplomacy to navigate through a fragmented world and find common ground for collective action. The forum is expected to host more than 20 heads of state and government, over 50 foreign ministers, more than 70 ministers, and approximately 60 senior representatives from international organizations. Additionally, over 4,000 guests, including students, are anticipated to attend.
The event aims to inspire dialogue to redefine the role and core principles of diplomacy in an increasingly polarized atmosphere. The Foreign Affairs Adviser is scheduled to return to Dhaka on April 14, as stated by a press release from the foreign ministry.
