Dhaka: Five more dengue patients have succumbed to the disease, while 570 new patients have been admitted to various hospitals throughout the country in the last 24 hours.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) reported that during this period, 99 dengue patients were hospitalised in Dhaka North City, 98 in Dhaka South City, and 138 in the Dhaka division outside of city corporations. Additionally, 34 patients were admitted in Rajshahi division, 54 in Barishal division, 47 in Chattogram division, 64 in Khulna division, 17 in Mymensingh division, one in Rangpur division, and two in Sylhet division.
This year has seen a total of 514 fatalities due to dengue disease, as stated in the DGHS press release. Meanwhile, 627 patients have been discharged from hospitals across the country over the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of discharged patients to 92,001 this year.
