Dhaka: Five dengue patients died and 636 were hospitalized in the country during the last 24 hours.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, during this period, 131 patients were hospitalized in Barishal division, 92 in Chattogram, 131 in Dhaka division, 105 in Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC), 97 in Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC), 29 in Khulna, six in Mymensingh, 34 in Rajshahi, seven in Rangpur, and four were admitted to different hospitals in Sylhet division, as per a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
The total number of dengue cases has risen to 38,527, with 155 deaths reported from the mosquito-borne disease this year. Last year, the total number of dengue cases reached 101,214, with 575 deaths reported, the release added.
