Gazipur: A fire that broke out today at the chemical warehouse of a coil factory in Sreepur upazila of Gazipur was brought under control. The blaze ignited at 12:55 pm in the chemical storage facility of Phoenix Coil Factory located in the Bagerbazar area.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, a total of nine firefighting units from Rajendrapur Modern Fire Service and Gazipur Fire Service worked for about two and a half hours to contain the fire. The origin of the fire and the extent of the damage remain unknown at this time.
Gazipur Fire Service Deputy Assistant Director Md. Mamun confirmed the incident. He stated that seven units from Rajendrapur and two additional units from Gazipur were involved in the operation, and the fire was finally extinguished around 2:30 pm.
