Gazipur: A fire erupted at a residential colony in the Kashimpur area of Gazipur, demolishing at least 26 rooms. The fire broke out on Friday morning, causing significant damage to the property.
According to United News of Bangladesh, the incident took place in a colony owned by a man named Biplob, situated near the GMS Garments factory in the Sardaganj area of Kashimpur. Upon receiving news of the fire, a unit from the DBL Fire Service promptly arrived at the scene and managed to control the blaze after about half an hour of intense efforts.
DBL Fire Service in-charge Atikul Islam stated that the fire began in one room of the colony and rapidly spread to the adjoining rooms, resulting in 26 rooms being completely gutted. He mentioned that the exact cause of the fire and the total extent of the losses are yet to be determined, pending a thorough investigation.
Fortunately, no casualties were reported as a result of the incident.
