Fire at Apex Dhanmondi Outlet Brought Under Control

Dhaka: The fire that broke out at an Apex footwear outlet in Dhanmondi-27 of the capital this morning was brought under control after two hours of intense efforts. Six units of the Fire Service were deployed, and the fire was brought under control at around 12:00 noon, Fire Service and Civil Defence (FSCD) media officer Talha Bin Zasim told BSS.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the fire broke out at the outlet in Dhanmondi-27 at around 10:05 am. Firefighters reached the scene within 10 minutes after receiving the information. Two units from Mohammadpur Fire Station initially joined the firefighting operation, while four more units were later sent to the spot.

The cause of the fire and the extent of damage could not be known immediately. No information about casualties was available till the filing of the report.
