Baku:Palli Karma-Sahayak Foundation (PKSF) has entered into a Taka 5 billion agreement with the Finance Division of the Ministry of Finance to enhance solar power usage throughout Bangladesh.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the agreement was signed by Nazneen Sultana, Joint Secretary of the Finance Division, and Dr. AKM Nuruzzaman, Senior General Manager of PKSF, on Tuesday.
This initiative will enable PKSF to provide loans to end users at a 6% interest rate through its Partner Organizations. To support this, PKSF has introduced a Renewable Energy Financing Program aimed at facilitating solar power installations and promoting the use of renewable energy nationwide.
The project is anticipated to strengthen Bangladesh's energy security by diversifying energy sources and increasing access to clean, renewable power. It will also support environmentally sustainable energy solutions, reduce dependence on conventional energy sources, and foster greater private-sector involvement in the country's sustainable development efforts.
