Dhaka: Finance Adviser Dr. Salehuddin Ahmed today urged students to embrace hard work as a critical ingredient for achieving ultimate success in life. Addressing attendees as the chief guest at an event held at the International Mother Language Institute auditorium, he emphasized, “There is nothing short-cut in life and you’ll have to become laborious. Then definitely success will come to you.”
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the event was organized by the Greater Noakhali Welfare Samity, Dhaka, to honor meritorious students and notable figures from the Greater Noakhali region. Planning Adviser Dr. Wahiduddin Mahmud, who served as the main discussant, highlighted the importance of learning beyond academic education and encouraged students to spread the light of knowledge to others.
Dr. Mahmud also stressed the significance of preserving the Noakhali dialect for future generations and outlined several development plans for the Greater Noakhali area. These include relaunching the train service with Noakhali and initiating a ferry service with Hatia within the next couple of months. However, he noted that there are currently no plans to construct an airport in Noakhali, though he advocated for upgrading the Noakhali-Cumilla regional highway to a national highway.
NBR Chairman Md. Abdur Rahman Khan also addressed the gathering, urging students and others to prioritize national interests in their activities. He encouraged students to combine their efforts with their inherent talents to achieve their objectives. The event concluded with the distribution of certificates to the meritorious students by both advisers.
