Khulna: BNP-nominated candidate for Khulna-2 constituency and former MP Nazrul Islam Manju today expressed that a festive mood is prevailing among voters ahead of the national election scheduled for February 12. Engaging with the public, Manju emphasized the enthusiastic reception his campaign has been receiving.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Manju remarked on the overwhelming response from the electorate during his campaign activities. He highlighted that people are welcoming them with smiling faces as they canvass various areas, including Rupsha Stand Road, Chanmari Bazar, and Christian Para in Ward No-30.
Manju also commented on the lasting influence of BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia, describing her as the most popular leader among the people of Bangladesh. He noted that the nation continues to feel the impact of her absence. Additionally, he mentioned that BNP leader Tarique Rahman has returned to Bangladesh after 17 years with a strategic action plan, expressing optimism about the election being participatory, peaceful, and celebratory.
He further stated that the overall voting environment is positive, with no concerns regarding security. The campaign event also saw the presence of various notable figures, including Professor Arifuzzaman Apu, Mohibuzzaman Kachi, and Hasanur Rashid Miraj, among others.
