Paturia: Ferry services on the Paturia-Daulatdia route resumed after remaining suspended for three and a half hours due to dense fog.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the ferry movement on the route was halted at around 3:30 am as thick fog reduced visibility on the river, disrupting navigation.

BIWTC Paturia Ghat Deputy General Manager (DGM) Abdus Salam reported that three ferries-Bir Shreshtha Jahangir, Golam Maula, and Bonolota-were stranded at Paturia Ghat during the suspension. At Daulatdia Ghat, six ferries-Bir Shreshtha Motiur Rahman, Dhaka, Bhaigar, Shah Keramat Ali, Shah Mokdum, and Hasna Hena-remained anchored due to the poor visibility.

The services resumed at 7:00 am after the fog lifted and visibility improved. All ferries are now operating normally and carrying full loads, the sources said.
