Paturia: All the ferry services between Paturia-Daulatdia have been suspended due to a nor’wester, as reported by Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation (BIWTC) Paturia Ghat sources.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, BIWTC Paturia Ghat Deputy General Manager Abdus Salam stated that the authorities took the decision to suspend ferry movement to ensure the safety of passengers and vehicles. The adverse weather has been affecting the river route, making it necessary to halt operations temporarily.
In addition to the Paturia-Daulatdia route, ferry movement between the Aricha-Kazirhat route has also been suspended due to the nor’wester. Abdus Salam mentioned that ferry services would resume once the weather conditions improve, ensuring safe passage for all.
