FBCCI Mourns Death of Former PM Begum Khaleda Zia

Dhaka: The Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) has expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of Begum Khaleda Zia, three-time elected former Prime Minister of the country and Chairperson of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP).



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, in a message of condolence, the country’s apex trade body stated that the nation will remember with gratitude Begum Khaleda Zia’s contribution and long struggle to establish democracy and safeguard the rights of the people in Bangladesh.



The message sent by FBCCI Administrator Md Abdur Rahim Khan highlighted that with her passing, the nation has lost an honest and patriotic leader. It emphasized her prolonged struggle and uncompromising leadership, which consistently inspired the nation to pursue freedom. The business community also recognized her support during various critical moments.



The FBCCI also prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul of Begum Khaleda Zia and conveyed its deepest sympathy to her bereaved family members.
