Tangail: At least three individuals lost their lives and three others sustained injuries when a microbus collided with a stationary truck at the Karatipara bypass on the Dhaka-Tangail Jamuna Bridge highway earlier today. The victims were identified as Amjad Hossen, aged 65, and his two sons, Ratul, 14, and Atul, 26, all residents of Sherpur Sadar upazila.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the tragic incident occurred at approximately 9 am as the family was on their way to their Sherpur village home to celebrate Eid. The microbus, reportedly losing control, crashed into the back of a parked truck upon reaching the Karatipara bypass area of Basail upazila. Officer in Charge Jalal Uddin of Basail Police Station confirmed that Amjad Hossain and his sons died instantly at the scene.
The injured individuals have been taken to Tangail Medical College Hospital for treatment. Meanwhile, the deceased’s bodies have been transported to Tangail General Hospital for autopsy procedures. The community mourns the lo
