Bagerhat: One person was killed and 20 others were injured in a road accident in the Mulghar area on the Dhaka-Khulna highway in Fakirhat upazila this morning. The tragic incident unfolded when the driver of a passenger bus lost control of the steering, causing the vehicle to collide with a roadside tree. The collision resulted in the immediate death of one individual, while 20 others sustained injuries.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the identity of the deceased has not yet been determined. Emergency responders, including police and firefighters, quickly arrived at the scene to rescue the injured passengers. The injured were initially transported to the upazila health complex for medical attention.
Subsequently, six individuals who were critically injured in the accident were transferred to Khulna Medical College Hospital for further treatment, police reported.
