Farzana Urges Citizens to Take Responsibility in Preserving Public Infrastructure

Lalpur: State Minister for Social Welfare Barrister Farzana Sharmin has emphasized the importance of citizen involvement in maintaining public infrastructure, highlighting that such efforts are crucial for maximizing the benefits of government development activities aimed at enhancing the quality of life.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Farzana made these remarks during the foundation stone-laying ceremony for a 500-metre road development project by the Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) at Chhay Rastar Mor in Lalpur upazila. She underscored that government infrastructure is a national asset, urging citizens to embrace a sense of responsibility and patriotism in its preservation.

The state minister also initiated a 600-metre road development project in Arbab Union, reinforcing the government's commitment to improving public convenience. She stated that the current administration prioritizes initiatives in education, healthcare, and road construction to elevate living standards.

The event was attended by Local Government Engineering Department Executive Engineer Md Iqbal Hossain, former chairman of Lalpur Upazila Parishad Harunur Rashid Pappu, and local BNP leaders, demonstrating a collaborative approach to regional development.
