Dinajpur: A farmer was killed in a lightning strike at Khatkhatia village of Golapganj Union under Nawabganj upazila of the district this afternoon. The deceased was Robin Soren, 38, son of Baburam Soren of the area.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, lightning accompanied by a rainstorm struck Robin around 5 pm while he was working on his farmland, said Md Shahidul Islam, Officer-in-Charge of Nawabganj Police Station. The injured Robin died on the way to the hospital.
